Pop’s Jig Company is a small family owned company, that began as a hobby tying a few jigs for friends and family after a friend gave me a couple jigs to test. The next day, I caught 60 plus crappie off of the same jig. Meanwhile my fishing partner, went through several packages of soft plastics. This hobby grew into Pop’s Jig Company after donating jigs to a benefit for a young child. The following morning, multiple people started asking about purchasing them. After a part time job I had closed its doors, it allowed more time to produce jigs. The name of the company stemmed from the nickname the younger coworkers at the part time job had given me.
After years working for corporate America, we knew we needed to produce and market a quality product. A family friend designed an eye catching logo to help achieve our goal. Along the way, we have had several guides and seasoned crappie anglers test and give feedback on our jigs in order to make improvements. This has allowed us to provide a quality jig for the weekend angler.
We source the finest quality materials available to create our crappie and pan fish jigs. Fish have been caught on several of the best lakes in the Midwest and Southeast. Each of our jigs are uniquely hand tied. We offer several different types of jigs varying in style, size, color and material; meaning there is a jig for any condition.
