Pop’s Jig Company is a small family owned company, that began as a hobby tying a few jigs for friends and family after a friend gave me a couple jigs to test. The next day, I caught 60 plus crappie off of the same jig. Meanwhile my fishing partner, went through several packages of soft plastics. This hobby grew into Pop’s Jig Company after donating jigs to a benefit for a young child. The following morning, multiple people started asking about purchasing them. After a part time job I had closed its doors, it allowed more time to produce jigs. The name of the company stemmed from the nickname the younger coworkers at the part time job had given me.
Pops Crappie Jigs offers over 60 different color combinations in our crappie jig line. Our jigs can be used from vertically jigging, under a bobber, spider rigging, or any other application you desire. Several of the best crappie lakes in the Midwest and Southeast have provided guides and seasoned anglers with crappie by using our jigs in any season.
All jigs are tied on a “pill style” head with sickle hooks. Our jigs are offered in 4 different sizes from 1/32 to 1/8 ounce. The 1/32 ounce are available with a #2 or #4 size hook. The 1/24 and 1/16 ounces are available with a #2 size hook. The 1/8 ounce has a #1 size hook.
Each is made using the finest variety of materials and colors.
